The Nintendo DS is the first console in the DS series. It has two screens, one is a touch screen(bottom) and one is a main viewing screen(top). It has the classic D-Pad, left and right buttons, start and select buttons, A and B buttons, and a volume control. The DS has some new features as well. For example, the DS has a power button. It has X and Y buttons to go along with the A and B buttons. It features a stylus for the touchscreen. It plays new types of games - DS game cards.

Changes From GameBoy Advance SPEdit

  • Two screens. One is a touchscreen, which the GBASP lacked.
  • Instead of a power switch, the DS has a power button.
  • X and Y buttons are added to the system, going along with the A and B buttons that go back to the NES.
  • A microphone jack was added.
  • New kinds of games were introduced just for the DS series.
  • A microphone was added.
  • Wi-Fi was available to be used on the DS to play games with friends and chat with others.
