Super Smash Brothers (Nintendo All-Star! Great Melee Smash Brothers) (SSB or SSB64 for short) is a fighting game that features all Nintendo characters. It was originally a game called Dragon King: A Fighting Game which was for the SNES. This was the first game in the Smash Bros. Series. It featured 12 Nintendo characters. They were all Nintendo's "heroes" unlike the next two games.

The 12 characters in the game are Nintendo's "heroes." Eight of the playable characters are available from the start. Four of them must be unlocked by completing certain tasks.
